Tumbafest Weekend Fringe Event Saturday 25 February 8pm

As the sunsets on day one of Tumbafest, head to Nest for fine local food, wine and an intimate show by singer songwriter Abby Dobson as she takes the cinema stage.

Founding member of the hugely successfully band, Leonardo’s Bride, who garnered many accolades; their chart-topping song, ‘Even When I’m Sleeping’, winning APRA ‘Song of the Year’ and later voted as one of the APRA ‘Top 20 Australian Songs of All Time’.

Abby Dobson honed her craft as singer and songwriter busking the streets of Paris, Athens & New York making people weep with her soulful voice and captivating presence. She has been invited to sing with – Neil Finn, Daniel Johns, Alex Lloyd, Mark Seymour, Leo Sayer, Rai Thistlethwaite, and Katie Noonan and has supported – Crowded House, Joe Jackson, Everything But the Girl, Tom Jones and Barry White. She has released 2 solo albums, ‘Rise Up’ and her latest offering, ‘It’s Okay, Sweetheart’.

She has also made more gold-selling albums and toured extensively with dance producer wunderkind, Paul Mac and was also commissioned to record her original songs for the hit TV series, ‘The Secret Life of Us’.

Abby also has a delicious project called Baby et Lulu in which she sings French songs in harmony with the lovely Lara Goodridge of Fourplay fame, in front of an extraordinarily swinging band . They have released two magnifique albums, their most recent one being nominated for an ARIA award, and have been touring their show with much joie de vivre to full houses across the land.
